Geocache Description:

Take a stroll through the wetland preserves bordering Thornwood in South Elgin.

I'm sure the people living in the Thornwood subdivision are mostly pretty nice, but the development process was a major thorn in the side for many of us already living in the area. On the plus side, though, is the fact that some very nice wetland areas were set aside during the buildout of the subdivision.

Parking on the street near the pumping station at N 41° 58.533 W088° 21.186 will also place you at a trailhead giving you good access to both this cache and A Thorny Situation.

Please be attentive to the wetland preserve signs. There is no need to trespass on any of the wetlands.
