Along a nice short hike with a couple of steep slopes and nice overlook of Grand Marais. There is a cliff along part of the trail so this path may not be suitable for the smallest cachers.
This is the first in a series of caches in and around Grand Marais highlighting some of our favorite spots around here. You can get to the trail head by driving through the municipal campground.
There is a nice picnic shelter along the way so consider bringing in lunch. Notice the interesting surface texture on some of the rock that you walk over.
Along with other bits of swag and the Lake Superior Circle Tour Travel Bug this cache also contains a bookcrossing.com book release. We will try to keep the cache stocked with a released book for cachers to read and pass on and learn about bookcrossing.
