Geocache Description:

Ernest C. Loll was a Multnomah County Deputy Sheriff in the 1930s. Among his duties was defending the wildlife of SW Portland from poachers, a duty for which he gave his life. The initial location marks the spot where he fell and gives the date of his death. It also is a City of Portland benchmark.

Use the information you obtain at this monument to find the cache as follows:

Year Deputy Loll was killed = XXXX
YYYY = XXXX minus 246
City of Portland benchmark number = ABCD

The cache is a bright pink plastic container at N45.2C.BAD, W122.4Y.YYY. It is not very far from a paved road but requires you to be a little bit agile.
