Geocache Description:

The coords above are not the cache... As if the Snake would allow that! This is a complex but fun find at the Strathcona Wilderness Center and stands to pay tribute to nature, family, health, and well being. This is a picnic cache so pack a lunch and liquids. Mrs. Jean Funk, the Center Supervisor and the crew welcome all geocachers and family alike and look forward to our November anniversary event. Say hi to the gang and let them know you are a GeoCacher. Nice people out there.

A tribute to well being and health where 3 yrs ago I could not walk at all, and because Geocaching gave me the motivation and means to come back from a living nightmare; you will find a number of pill bottles that mark my rehabilitation and success. So for those who hate to walk and prefer to get out of the car and find a cache 10 feet away, don't do this cache. A hint: pick up a trail map and use your wits instead of paying attention to that little screen; there is a lot to see out there: flora and fauna. Another free hint; you will do well to zone in to within 50 metres and re-initialize for accuracy at each step. I doubled back and walked this twice and found all coords well within acceptable deviation and the clues at each stage give most of it away anyway. This cache covers a lot of beautiful ground but you should be done in less than 2 hours. Watch for critters and bring a camera too.
This cache will start you out on the Strathcona Wilderness trails tougher leg and then eases off so you can relax and have a lunch break. The last leg gets into some less hospitable trail so be ready to get lost. Chuckle...(o;
Enjoy the moose, deer, foxes, coyotes, cougars, rabbits, grouse, and all the other furries. I even saw black bear sign in these woods so come prepared. Bullwinkles mom was handy too.
You will have to find 3 clues leading to the last full sized traditional cache; a 1 liter honey pot camouflaged accordingly. The first micro is a medium micro then they get smaller. hee hee hee! (o; (o:
Be kind to the bush and scrub here. No need for cross country wreckage and havoc. The cache is designed to be an easy but a healthy family hike. Bon apetit!
