Dieser Cache führt euch zum Tomasee (Lai da Tuma), der als Quelle des Vorderrheins bezeichnet wird. Es gibt verschiedene Möglichkeiten, zum Cache zu gelangen. Die kürzeste Variante ist der direkte Wanderweg vom Oberalppass (Dort gibt’s genügend Parkplätze und eine Haltestelle der Matterhorn-Gotthard-Bahn). Das sollte in 3 Stunden zu schaffen sein, inklusive einer kleinen Pause am See. Schöer ist aber der ‚Umweg’ über den Pazolastock, wo man eine wunderbare Aussicht hat und sich – als Bonus-Cache sozusagen – im Gipfelbuch verewigen kann.
Der Cache ist nicht direkt am See versteckt, sondern etwas oberhalb, nahe an einem Wanderweg. Bitte nutzt den Wanderweg - und klettert nicht direkt vom See zum Cache!!
Die Wanderung ist nicht anspruchsvoll aber die Wanderausrüstung ist da schon angebracht.
ACHTUNG: der direkte Wanderweg zwischen Oberalppass und Tomasee ist aktuell (Frühling/Sommer 2026) wegen einem Felssturz gesperrt; der signalisierte Umweg benötigt für Hin- und Rückweg 3 Stunden mehr!

This cache leads you to ‚Lai da Tuma’, a small lake which is known as the source of the ‘Vorderrhein’. There are several possibilities to get to the cache. The shortest way is to take the direct hiking path from the Oberalppass, where you can leave your car or get off the train. A minimum of 3 hours should be enough for this trip, including a break at the lake. It is also nice to go up to ‘Pazolastock’ on the way, where you will have a beautiful view and where there is a summit book – almost a bonus cache to log your visit.
The cache is not right by the lake, but a bit higher up, near a hiking path. Please do not climb directly from the lake to the cache, but use the hiking path!
The hiking tour is not very demanding, but you should use proper equipment.
ATTENTION: The direct hiking trail between the Oberalp Pass and Lake Tuma is currently closed due to a rockslide; the marked detour adds 3 hours to the round trip!
