Geocache Description:


Second cache in a series around Archbald feature the area's historical, bizarre, and natural locations that are often looked over as people take a quick drive through the town. Parking for this one is the same as Treasure of Archbald I but access is different.

I decided to expand the origional "Treasure of Archbald"
into a series of varying caches -- micros, large containers, long hikes, caches and dashes, film canisters, mysteries, puzzles, and multis. I was sick of hearing from people that "Archbald is one of the most boring places on Earth." True, it isn't New York City, but if you know where to look, you can find things that will keep you interested for a long time.

Start off by taking the old road into the woods. You will see one "No Trespassing Sign" about 50 yards to your left upon entering, but as others much wiser than I have explained, this is settled to the privately owned land next to the highway. Follow this road until it curves up and left into the woods. On your right should be a guardrail and a pile of rocks. Go around the pile of rocks and down the trail, making another left on a widely marked trail. This trail, which follows the pipeline, will take you all the way to the cache. While it is generally good and well-marked, erosion has taken its some toll on a couple of places. Able-bodied children should be able to handle this well.

Note: This cache is on Pennsylvania State Game Lands. Please observe hunting rules and regulations by wearing the minimum square inch of fluorescent orange during hunting season.
