Geocache Description:

This is located in a small park just outside of Munising.

The coordinates are for a sign in the park. The Stone Quarry Park was known for the sandstone mined for a lot of the buildings in the area,like Lincoln School , Sacred Heart School ,Cowell's General Merchantile and others.PLEASE NOTE : If you venture down to the lake,be careful there is a rock wall with loose stone. Keep an eye on the kids. Not that it's bad ,just use care. The coordinates for the cache are N 46 26.xxx W 086 39.yyy To get xxx you need to find the year of the FIRST MAJOR USE of the sandstone and subtract 1613.To get yyy you need to subtract the year Lincoln School was built from the year Sacred Heart School (now the Jerico House ) was built and add 231.
