Geocache Description:

The cache container is a small plastic ammo can with the usual cache trinkets inside.
For best access park at: N40* 59.311 W090* 23.020
There is a partially over grown fishing trail that runs along the South side of the lake.
Please rehide the container properly

AS A BOY GROWING UP IN GALESBURG I SPENT COUNTLESS DAYS EXPLORING, CAMPING, AND FISHING AT THIS PARK. LONG BEFORE THE PAVED BIKE TRAILS, THE WATER PARK, AND THE WELL GROOMED FLOWER BEDS. I KNEW THIS PLACE AS MUCH MORE

I WOULD LOAD MY BICYCLE DOWN WITH CAMPING AND FISHING SUPPLIES AND RIDE BETTER THAN 5 MILES TO SPEND DAYS AND SOMETIMES WEEKS ENJOYING THE SIMPLICITY OF YOUTH AND THE FREEDOM OF THE GREAT OUTDOORS.

THE LOCATION OF THIS CACHE MARKS THE VERY SPOT THAT I WOULD SET UP CAMP AND SPEND THE DAYS CREATING MEMORIES WITH MY FRIENDS AND MY FAITHFUL DOG RUSTY
YOU MAY FIND THIS CAMPSITE A BIT OFF THE BEATEN PATH, BUT;
THAT’S THE WAY I LIKE IT!
