Geocache Description:

This is a multi-mystery cache. These are the only coordinates you will find posted here. The rest must be found along the way. The terrain is simple and every cache can be reached on foot. Plan on about 3 hours walking time estimated. Each cache becomes a little harder to find along the way. You be wise to carry a notebook and pen and also a compass. The first 5 caches are small. Please don’t take or leave anything in these. Remember to hide the cache well in the same spot.

Captain McGregore was a pirate who had his first mate Ian Kerr draws up a map for him in 1745. The Captain used the map as a way to disguise the locations of all the treasures he and his crew collected over the years. He came to lay anchor off the coast of New Hampshire and it was there that he met up with Billy Bones.

The scallywag Billy Bones has made off with the map of Captain McGregore and hid it somewhere on another island. You will have to find the map before you can find the treasure. The treasure lies within the pirate’s triangle. You will have to make your way along each leg of the triangle and find the clues.

Start out at the foot of pirates gibbet (look up meaning of gibbet) and travel east to Gunn Point. Now make your way to Mopax Keys. Go onto Castle Tyn and make your way to Ely River traveling north to Dead Lake. Now continue across the desert and through The Hill Valley. North west-by-west onto Pirates Fell. From Pirates Fell take a bearing South West across the Sea Horse Serpent Sea to the next island. The treasure is on this island. Remember it well. You will need it later.

NOTE: Walking time is about 3 hours for the 7 caches. You will cover about 5 miles all togather. You might want to make this a 2 day event. If you plan carefully you can do it in about 2+ hours by car.
