Geocache Description:

Just off a seemingly little used track, this site provides some spectacular views across parts of the city and coast. A good time to visit is late afternoon - find the cache then watch the sun go down. Why is it called 'Garden View'? Take a good look around and think Arabic!

The cache is located a short distance outside the city. The road leading to the site is well graded and should be accessible with a saloon car although my own visits have been with a 4x4. Head southeast on the highway out of the city, go past Qurm and take the sliproad towards Ruwi. At N23 34.943 E58 32.704 turn right towards Yitti and thread your way through the shops and houses to the winding road leading into the hills. Follow this road for about 3km until reaching a junction on the left at N23 33.364 E58 34.080.

This is the start of the graded road which I have found to be in fairly good condition. I have seen saloon cars on this track but have not tried one myself. It takes you further into the hills and towards the cache site which is around 390m ASL. Close to the cache is a car park area at N23 33.453 E58 34.997, and from here it is just a short walk. The final leg involves scrambling a short distance on a slope - this should be no problem but do please take care of loose stones.

It is a small cache in a food container and will not take any large items. Hopefully it is well enough hidden to be safe from casual discovery but should be easy to find for anyone with these details. When placed, it contained the following items -

Notepad
Pencils (cut to fit!)
Eraser
Pencil sharpener
Mini yoyo
Mini multitool
Clock with battery
Flashing GSM sticker
