This five-part multi-cache will take you down a trail that is mainly used for bike traffic and light auto traffic use. There are walking areas so no need to fear the bikers and cars. You will have to cross one busy street - so be careful and obey traffic laws while doing so.
This part of the trail is only a small section of the Oak Leaf Trail, which encompasses Milwaukee County. Designed in 1976 to commemorate the Bi-Centennial of the United States, it was originally 76 miles in length. Originally called "The Spirit of 76 Trail" it was expanded in time and renamed to "The Oak Leaf Trail".
You will be looking for camo taped 35mm film containers (except for WP3 which is a GC micro tube). Inside the containers will be clues to the next waypoint. So bring a piece of paper and a pencil to do some calculating (nothing tricky). The final stop will be an ammo box with the usual stockpile of items. Total walking distance - 1 mile. The walk from WP to WP can be rated at 1.5. The reason for the 3.0 is that the WPs' and final stop merit this.
Park on Oklahoma and Root River Parkway.
