This is a drive up, walk a short distance, find, grab, sort through, trade, log and replace cache.
This is a high elevation regular cache. It is located at the 10,560 foot level of Mt. Blowhard (so named for obvious reasons). The cache container is the standard 7.62mm military ammunition box in its traditional olive green color (designed to blend in with the trees and grasses at and near the cache). This cache is available from the time the snow leaves the high elevations (July) to when it returns again in force (October). The cache will still be there, you just won't be able to find it.
There are stunning views of Zion National Park to the south, and Cedar Breaks National Monument to the north from two vistas near the cache site.
The mountain top has a vast array of radar, microwave and radio antennas and equipment buildings. This is not a restricted area and a two wheel drive car can make it to within easy walking distance of the cache in the right weather conditions.
