The name of the game is Sudoku, Japanese for "number place," but
no knowledge of Japanese language or arithmetic is required to
enjoy the game that has sparked a mania around the world. It’s a
fever that is now spreading to the United States, as readers of the
New York Post and Los Angeles Times can readily attest.
It’s a wordless logic crossword that leaves even the most
dedicated puzzle enthusiasts scratching their heads. Solve entirely
with logic and you’ll arrive at the right answer.
To solve, fill-in the blanks with the digits 1 through 9 in such
a way that each digit appears in each column, row, and 3 x 3 box
only once. You need numbers, but no math is involved.
Final coordinates will be found by plugging in the correct
number corresponding to the box indicated at each of the six
multi-caches.
Label across the top from left to right starting with A and
ending in I. Label from top to bottom, starting at the top left
corner 1-9.
This should be an easy one, but if you want to do the whole
series in one day, I suggest doing the puzzle the night before and
find caches in order from A-F.
To find the final (correct) coordinates you will have to
substitute the last three digits of the above coordinates for N
(ABC) and W (DEF), with the numbers you find at each of 6 other
caches.
Each cache will have a number and letter to identify a square on
this puzzle somewhere in it. For example D4=9.
If you find the cache hide it as well as you found it. Have fun
and as always beware of snooping eyes. It is always a good idea to
have a writing instrument with you. Finally, please let me know if
there are problems with either the cache or its coordinates. Please
leave only quality swag
Cache size has been increased to hold more travel bugs and
should be easier to find.
Contents of Cache:
FTF wooden token, Travel bug-Ollie The Chimney Sweep, Tiger
& Giraffe, Canadian Geo-coin TB, $1.00 Singapore note,
Craftsman key chain, $1000 Indonesian Rupiah bill.
