Geocache Description:

This cache is part of the Oxley Series of WaterWays of Brisbane.

 

 

THE CACHE IS NOT LOCATED AT THE ABOVE COORDINATES.

It is intended that the series is to be completed in sequence and each cache logbook contains the coordinates of the next two caches in the series. There are a total of 16 caches in this series.

The series starts at the cache : Oxley - Pamphlett

Oxley Creek was originally named "Canoe CreeK" by John Oxley.
This was in recognition of the first Europeans to reach the creek, Thomas PamphlettJohn FinneganRichard Parsons who reached the area after being shipwrecked on Stradbroke Island. At Oxley Creek the three found two canoes, one of which was used to cross the river and travel downstream.

This is a log only cache. In a suburban park setting.
