Geocache Description:

An easy find and easy climb to an extraordinary view.

ThePack have spent many hours here. Soccer has us visiting this place much too often. During every visit, ThePack’s youngest makes his way up to the top of the hill. After I don’t know how many trips, I came to ask him, “Why do you climb that hill every time we come here?

“I like the view,” he replied.

“Well… I must see this view for myself. Will you show me?”

“Sure!”

So we both climb to the top and sure enough, there lies this incredible westerly view!

“Brandon! This view is breathtaking!”

“I know Dad, this is my favorite place.”

“How would you like to share this wondrous spot with Geocachers?”

“That would be great!”

We made this a multi-cache as we want Geocachers to travel up and down the hill using the correct trail. When the Continental Soccer Fields opened four years ago, the steep slopes of this hill proved to be too much of a temptation for our youngsters. Climbing the steep slopes cause a breach in some of the vegetation; which resulted in an erosion problem. Signs were posted prohibiting climbing with an exception of one trail to the far left that has a gradual climb as well as crushed stone to help with the water flow.

Waypoint One is in a parking lot. Chose anyplace here to park and to start your quest.

The trail to the final is off to the left behind the soccer fields and shoud be obvious; this is where they drive the tractor for mowing.

Please return the same way you came and let the vegetation do its job holding down the topsoil.
