Skookum Bear: Cache Owner,

As you have not indicated that you have visited your cache location to replace it if it was missing, perform needed maintenance, or verify that it is still there within a reasonable amount of time, I am regretfully archiving the cache to clear it from the active cache database and open the area to new caching opportunities.

Please do not respond to this note by sending an email reply - your response will go to an unmonitored location and disappear into the ether instead of being sent to me. If you need to contact me regarding this cache, please do so using the link on my Profile Page

Geocache Description:

Rice-A-Roni the North Vancouver treat! Located on the scenic shores of Rice Lake.

Drive to the North end of Lillooet Road. The last kilometre or so is hard packed gravel. On the way to the parking lot (49 21.009, 123 00.866) you will pass by the Seymour-Capilano Water Utility Project. The GVRD is constructing a water filtration plant and two tunnels 7.2 km long to Capilano River. For more info on the project go to (visit link)

This is a popular area for hiking, biking and in-line skating. There are many trails and an 11 Km long paved road (closed to public vehicles) leading to Seymour Falls Dam and fish hatchery.

The Cache is less then 1 kilometre along an easy and relatively flat gravel path from the parking lot. The trail around the lake does not allow dogs or bikes. It’s quite a nice walk through the woods but unfortunately not the greatest GPS reception at times (there are open spots around the lake). There’s a nice dock to fish from, but don’t bring a boat or a bathing suite. For more info on the area try this website (visit link)

*THE PARK IS ONLY OPEN DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS*
