NOTE: Coordinates have been updated, again! Nice walk along a paved path until you get near cache site. Suggested parking at the parks carpark which has no fee.
Once the biggest colliery spoil heap in Europe this park is an excellent example of restored industrial land. The main feature of the site is a sixteen hectare lake which is surrounded by open grassland and woodland. The old colliery within the park is now a museum.
