Geocache Description:

This journey takes you to an offset micro cache; it is a pleasant walk next to the Hockanum River.

This area is filled with the history of the by-gone era of fine-paper making in the Manchester area. Peter Adams purchased the existing mill in the mid 1800s. Tucked away in this isolated area, you’ll find many hidden jewels while hiking the well-marked trails. Depending on your route along the sandstone gorge, sections of the trail have steep drop offs (Adams Mill Trail is on both sides of the river); younger children should be watched closely.

Locate the date on the ruins at the above coordinates. To determine the next coordinates, add the date to N 41 45.575 and subtract it from W072 34.597.
Example: Date found – 1886.
N 41 45.575 + 1886 = N 41 47.461
W072 34.597 - 1886 = W 072 32.711

The final cache is a waterproof match container. Parking: N41 47.450 W072 33.050. You may want to also do James cache. We hope you enjoy the adventure! ?a
