The first two stages are small clear containers that hold clues to
the final stage. It is not necessary to open the containers to view
the clues. The final stage is a clear rubbermaid container with a
blue rim. The entire loop of three can be done in a little over a
mile, but there are many paths you can take to make it longer.
Stage 1 can be found at N 40° 04.545 W 074° 55.167.
Stage 2 can be found at N 40° 04.435 W 074° 54.825.
Stage 3 can be found using the clues from stage 1 and stage 2.
Stage 1 contains a number to ADD to the stage 1 North coordinate to
get your final North. Stage 2 contains a number to SUBTRACT from
the stage 2 West coordinate to get your final West. WARNING: You
will find two numbers in the stage 2 container. The 65 is incorrect
and should NOT be used.
We started the final stage cache with a pug magnet, a couple sea
shells, party in a box, a CITO bag, Off towelettes, a yellow jeep
TB, and the Take My Mom TB.
The Neshaminy State Park in Lower Bucks County takes its name
from the Neshaminy Creek which joins the Delaware River at this
point. There is a lot to do here including boating (at the marina),
swimming, picnicing, and fishing. There is even a small theatre
(Playmaster's Theatre Workshop 215-245-7850 for info) with plays
throughout the year. There are 4 miles of trails for hiking,
biking, and walking the dog(s) and now to top it off there are
geocaches as well. The park closes at sundown so give yourself
enough daylight.
This is one park in Pennsylvania where you can feel the ocean's
tides. If you watch the river, you'll see it rise or fall an inch a
minute. Because tides affect this part of the river, it's called an
estuary. The Neshaminy freshwater estuary is a unique place. Plants
and animals from two worlds meet here, some from the ocean and some
from upstream headwaters.
