Geocache Description:

Capitol View Park sits directly across the Kentucky River from the State Capitol building. It is primarily a sporting park, with few concessions for picnicking, but the Youth League Football fields offer a spectacular view of the Capitol and the trails cut through the woods provide some beautiful scenery.

The cache is located on one of these trails. The trails were actually cut for bicyclists; while I have never encountered any cyclists while hiking, there is evidence of their use, so be on the lookout while hunting.

You are looking for a clear plastic, locking container. It is invisible from the trail, but quite obvious one step away. You do not need to "leave the trail" to find the cache, so please do not engage in any bushwacking in your search. The cache location is safe but there are fairly significant drop-offs in the area, 20 to 30 feet from the trail, so please keep an eye on the kids if you bring them along.
