Red Witch: Well I had hoped that some kind geocacher would have taken it upon themselves to stick a small container in the very obvious hiding spot for this cache but it hasn’t happened. It is no longer economically feasible for me to drive all the way to St Martins AND pay the park entrance fee just to replace this cache so I am archiving it. Too bad, it was a popular and fun cache.

Geocache Description:

Located on the Fundy Trail (the cache name is from one of the all time great Monty Python scenes)!

The cache is located in what is now known as the Sea Captains Cemetery. The cemetery consists of two family plots, the Melvins and the Fownes (see photos). Both are important family names in the history of the area and can be found in several local geographical spots. The cemetery was virtually forgotten until the opening of the Fundy Trail at which time it was carefully restored and thru research many unmarked graves were identified and marked with wooden crosses. Today it is a place of peaceful serenity in the woods not far off the busy parkway. When the trail is open the cache is a short easy walk from parking lot 2 (P-2). During the off season you can park outside the gate and walk approx 1½ kms until you see a marked stairway leading to the Sea Captain’s Cemetery. Please DO NOT park along the parkway at anytime. Use the parking lot THEN follow your gps. Cache is a small camo'd container. Please rehide completely out of sight! AS ALWAYS, PLEASE LEAVE THE CACHE AS WELL OR BETTER HIDDEN THAN YOU FOUND IT
