Geocache Description:

THIS CACHE WILL NOT BE FOUND WITH SNOW ON THE GROUND!!!!

This fun hunt will take you to a special pond I know.
Once owned by Portland Water, now to the town it goes.
The distance to the cache and back, will really make you smile.
The kids won't even mind it, cause it's less than 1 full mile.

The cache that you are looking for, is really rather small.
Log sheet, pencil, space enough for small trades that is all.
You can park your vehicle, at the co-ords I've given you.
They are on a dirt road just off of 302.

The gps co-ords you see, will take you to a gate.
Leave your receiver in your car, not needed on this date.
A fun walk, and fun hunt this is, and you don't have to worry.
About that darn old tree cover, hindering your query.

Thru the gate you must go, and right on to the water.
Find the path that's on your left, and down it you must wander.
In a while, beside the pond, a wonder you'll behold.
The biggest pine you've ever seen, and oh so very old.

Just a bit past this tree, the left path you must go
And on your left, you're looking for a stump left long ago.*
Face this stump at your feet, and take a look around.
Start your search, and look for me, I'm laying on the ground.

Don't stray more than 30 feet, from your old wooden friend.
Come full circle, start again, you'll find me in the end.
If you had fun searching, and you sign a find.
When you go home and log in, your words too must rhyme!

If you hunt and come up short, log a DNF my friend,
and I will give to you a clue, to start your search again.
Waiting for that clue you see, is what you have to pay.
For searching and not finding me, on your trip today.

First To Find: Gob-ler

Additional Hints (Decrypt)

[* this stump has a short fluorscent orange stick poking out of its top. The observant geocacher should see the stick, a trail hiking muggle should miss it.]
