Open Bay on Quadra Island

***July/06 - Take the decrypted hint along. Seems like everyone's GPS is bouncing around up there and the cache is difficult to find.
This cache leads you to a beautiful bay on Quadra Island, a 7 minute ferry ride from Campbell River on Vancouver Island. The path (the path starts on your left) is a bit tough, with one steep area, but only about a 10 minute walk from where you park. If you take anything to the beach put it in a backpack, you'll need two hands on this hike. After finding the cache, continue down the path to Open Bay.
Absolutely go at low tide and you and the kids can walk out for a long long way and check out tidal pools along the opposite side from the path (lots of purple and orange starfish) and safely wade in the calm water. The middle of the bay is sand, which makes for a huge beach at low tide but an almost non-existant one at high tide. Quiet and serene, the walk is worth the beauty of the view.
Park at the end of Marina Drive (it just ends in a small turn around) and follow the path to Open Bay. The cache contains various stickers for the kids.
