A Cache Landing Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Reviewer Revan: Cache Owner (CO) has not responded, so I am regretfully archiving this cache to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking new cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace this cache sometime in the future (not to exceed 10 days from the date of this entry), just contact me (by e-mail), and assuming it still meets the current Guidelines, I will consider unarchiving this cache.

Please be advised this is not a guarantee that this geocache will be unarchived. Many factors will go into my decision. The most important of which is how you responded to geocachers who tried to communicate with you regarding the problem(s) with this geocache hide and how you communicated with me, the Reviewer Revan.

Geocache Description:

THE ABOVE COORDINATES ARE MOSTLY BOGUS!
... but they will put you near the actual coordinates. :)

US Airways Flight 311 from Denver to Austin has been directed by air traffic control to begin its gradual descent to its landing at Austin Bergstrom Airport. When precisely over location N 31 06.410, W 98 17.250 (near Lampasas, TX) and at precisely an altitude of 22,000 feet, the pilot is instructed to head directly to Austin. US Airways Flight 311 will proceed with a constant angle of descent and will not vary from the most direct heading to the airport where it will land at N 30 12.333, W 097 40.730. The map below shows the general path of Flight 311's gradual descent.

The Cache Landing geocache is at a location directly beneath the path of Flight 311 when the aircraft is at an altitude of 2,200 feet.
