Situated in Southwater Country Park. Not accessible for wheel-chairs or prams.
This cache is situated with Southwater Country Park. The park is open daily from 8am until dusk.
This is one of Britain's youngest country parks and provides an interesting example of transformation from a former industrial site into a recreational and wildlife reserve.
There is plenty to see and do in the park. For walkers there is a network of surfaced paths which provide year round access, the path around the main lake being nearly 1km long. For youngsters there is an adventure play area, and an area of sandy beach on the lake shore that is very popular in hot weather.
We suggest you park at the car park off Cripplegate Lane at N51 01.213 W000 20.754. Here you'll find a cafe and visitors centre and toilet facilities.

The cache also contains a disposable camera. Please take a picture of yourself and return the camera to the cache box. Please could the person that uses the last exposure let us know.
The park can get very busy so beware of muggles and please make sure that you leave the cache well hidden.
