Geocache Description:

A math puzzle about a specific group of polygons known as Johnson Solids. This one requires some research if you're not up on your polygons and some good ol' trig to find the cache location. This is not a cache to find "on the fly".

To get started you will need to find the number of faces on the following Johnson Solids:

A = Tetrahedron
B = Triangular Dipyramid
C = Octahedron
D = Pentagonal Dipyramid
E = Snub Disphenoid
F = Triaugmented Triangular Pyramid
G = Gyroelongated Square Dipyramid
H = Icosahedron

You will also most likely need the following:

Paper and pencil
A ruler or some other calibrated straightedge
Compass
Calculator (helpful but you may not need it)
An understanding of the Pythagorean relationship
How to calculate a tangent

If you were to imagine the shape of one of the faces on the Siamese Dodecahedron in the area of the cache the above listed coordinates locate one on the verticies of this shape.

Solving the formula in the attached image file, will give you the length of one of the sides, in feet, of this imaginary shape, which projects from the coords at 75 degrees and the imaginary shape lies north of the listed coords.

With this information you should be able to calculate the center of this imaginary shape, the location of the cache, an ammo can.

Cheers!!
