Back in the day, I found the original Park Avenue Chain of Parks
West #4, so I know exactly where it was; it's gone, a park
maintenance crew dug it up along with the arbor it was hidden
in.
Since nole_man, the original placer of the Park Avenue Chain of
Parks multis, is MIA, I have adopted the micros that remain and
have re-listed them as individual caches. There are four, West #1
(now retired) and #2 and East #1 and #3. West #4A is my first step
toward replacing the micros that have gone missing. It's not in any
way an imitation or re-creation of the original #4; it's an
entirely new hide within the same park.
Cache is a plastic bison tube. Tip: The proper way to put the
log back into the container is to roll it up and put it into the
cap, and then screw the base on around it. This way, the log
doesn't get all mangled.
From nole_man's original listings: "Each park is 1 block long
and shaded with beautiful Oak trees and landscaped with flower
gardens. Take time to enjoy the parks and the historical locations
of downtown Tallahassee."
During working hours on weekdays, you'll have to feed the
parking meters.
While you're in the area, you might want to look for the Ed
Barnard terracache.
In August 2007 I added a new West #3A that was piggybacked onto
this listing, and it was confirmed missing 9/2008. I have decided
not to replace it.
