Difficulty levels reflect the off road terrain of the forestry roads...and could be higher if you have to hike in.
The gates are open on 2N40 at the time of placement, but there are times when vehicle access is not permitted. Cache is a healthy hike in (less than a mile) and is adjacent to the road if the gates should be closed. A 4 wd vehicle is nice but was not necessary the day I placed it, but turning around is a tricky proposition as the dirt road is very narrow. Cache is a plastic jar container remember, when you park in the San Bernardino Forest an Adventure Pass must be displayed. There are a couple other caches further down the road.
