Excellent walk, 1hr at an easy pace. The terrain changes from a traditional well established forest to a newer plantation, which has regenerated an industrial area. If you reach the farmers field you've gone too far!
The car park is at N56 03.621 W3 53.105 be aware it has strict closing times, this is well signposted.
The country park was once the estate of a wealthy east india trader, back in the early 19th century. It has now been developed, with various waymarked walks and has lots of interesting places to explore. Check out the wood carvings around the pond.
