One of a series of caches along Rand Rd.
Found this spot while looking for cache locations. This spot did not seem suitable for a family oriented regular cache, but then I spotted something too interesting to pass up completely. I'm pretty sure what it is, but as to how it got where it is - there could be a quite a story there.
The name for the cache comes from the Poynting vector which, as I dimly recall from a long-ago engineering class, describes the rate of energy transport of electric and magnetic fields. The reason this would come to the mind of an EE should be readily evident from the locale.
