Geocache Description:

Multi-cache which takes you to the village of Bratton, near Westbury, Wilts. Cache offers woodland walk with excellent views of surrounding countryside. Not suitable for pushchairs and should take around 45 mins car door to car door. Could also get muddy after wet weather.

Bratton lies under the edge of Salisbury Plain near the Iron Age camp named after it. The cache takes you past the church of St James much of which dates from the 14th and 15th centuries. The chancel was rebuilt in the 19th century. Outside are several splendid grotesque heads, hence the title of the cache. See if you can spot them.(and I don't mean your wife!!).

Park on the main road through Bratton where you can find a space, and take the path to the church. A micro is hidden at the above coordinates which tells you the final cache position. A clue is available for the micro and main cache as marking proved to be a problem due to tree cover.
