Marshall's Historic Texas and Pacific Depot has been
painstakingly restored and is functioning as a station for daily
Amtrak service. Through generous grants and a committed group of
Marshall citizens, this building has been brought back from the
brink of destruction to house a railroad museum, gift shop and
offices. Located in the Historical Ginocchio District, the museum
has history, information and memorabilia of the Texas and Pacific
Railroad and its workers set against the backdrop of an active
railroad passenger station. It is a place for adults and children
alike to learn and experience the history of the T&P Railroad,
the men who built and operated it and the influence the railroads
had and continue to exert on the development of Texas and its
people.
The Museum hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m until 4
