Valley of the God Traditional Cache

A standard sandwich box secreted around the remains of a long abandoned farmstead which requires a good hike in across rough paths from most directions.
This should have been listed as by the Lost Girlz rather than the Boize as there were more of them on this trip.
Thursbitch was at one time known as Thursbatch - meaning Thor's Valley. Although the farm was abandoned a very long time ago there are still the low remains of the buildings to be seen. The location was chosen by Alan Garner for his recent novel 'Thursbitch' which tells a tale set around the 21st century exploration of an 18th century murder mystery. It is a mysterious place indeed and must have been bleak and inhospitable through the long winter months.
The cache initially contains a selection of silly things to entertain the finders. There should be no need to move the piles of stones from the ruinous walls in order to find the cache. Please do not start destroying the place in your search. If you are in the right place you should be able to find and remove it from its hiding place quite easily.
The walk in is over rough country from wherever you start, and good boots and waterproofs are recommended. You will be rewarded with lovely countryside and, hopefully, great views.
