The cache is located in Eastern Park in the City of Tonawanda. Terrain is relatively flat, with a very small bit of bushwhacking required.
Eastern Park is a small park available for rent, located in the Gastown area of Tonawanda. It features a small play area, a shelter with tables, and restrooms. Many people also come here to fish in Ellicott Creek. The park is open till 10PM, and picnics occur frequently on the weekends which may lead to difficulty in getting to the area unnoticed.
The cache is hidden off a small path which goes from the park to the former NFTA rail line. At one point many years ago, there was talks to turn this rail line into a rails-to-trails path. There were also discussions that this would become the future extension of the Metro Rail. Unfortunately, neither of these have happened. The container has a screw-on top, so please do not try to pry it off. Don't forget to bring your own pen or pencil to sign the log.
