to the
British Columbia Geocaching Association's Halloween
Harvest!

Place: Douglas Recreation Centre in Langley
Time: 6:00 pm
We have rented the hall at the Douglas Recreation
Centre for a spooky night of eating, socializing and caching
after dark!
This is a potluck event (a concept that was
conceived after eating Scruffster's spine tingling slice at
the last event)! We ask that you bring some sort of dish to
share with everybody. When you respond to the event, have a
look to see what other people are bringing. We would like to
try to balance the types of food so we don't have all
desserts on the table (we're sure you don't want to have to
peel your little cachers off the roof from the sugar high!)
We also ask that you write a short description of your dish
to place beside the food in case we have people with food
allergies.
Once we are
full of goodies, we will have some time to mingle and watch as the
young and young at heart compete in an apple eating
contest.
There will also be a pumpkin contest. Bring your
most creatively carved or decorated geocaching themed pumpkin
to be judged. (Please bring it precarved...we aren't going to
carve them there.)
We will be having a raffle draw for prizes and a
50/50 draw as well (are you feeling lucky?).
For those brave souls who want to do a little night
caching, we will be heading out to find some caches in the
dark!
This event is open to everyone from beginners to
seasoned veterans, BCGA members and non-members alike! Bring
your GPS, ask questions and have some fun with us!
Please post a "will attend" note with the
number in your party and please mention the dish you will be
bringing. It is really important to have the number
in your party so that we can plan appropriately.
