Another Chinese Labor Camp Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Mr. Gadget #2: Sadly I am archiving this historical cache. I encourage you to look at the before and after pictures on the cache page to see what it was like.

I do not know if it was an accident or was it intentional that it was caved in. It looks as though a front end loader was used to dump a load of material onto the roof and causing it to cave in. BNSF has been working in this area for the past few weeks. maybe something new will take place here. The cache container has been picked up and look for it to show up somewhere. Thanks to all of you who visited here.

Geocache Description:

This cache is at another place where Chinese laborers lived while working on the railroad years ago. This location is near the grain elevators at Trinidad, WA. It is just off SR28 and about 1/2 mile up the Baird Springs Road. There is a place to park near the old grain elevator. You will have to cross the railroad tracks. It is safe enough to walk to the cache site without any danger to the trains. Use caution while crossing the tracks. CHILDREN SHOULD BE ACOMPANIED WITH ADULTS!

This rock shelter is located below the old abandoned railroad roadbed and the one used today. It appeared that there might have been others in the area by the placement of some of the rock piles. Another strange thing with this structure is that it is covered with dirt as if a roadbed were on top of it. The evidence of rock dirt and other materials that have been disturbed which leads to ones thinking other shelters may have been in the immediate area.
Another cache location is the Old Chinese Labor Camp GCMYFQ. This cache location is where a small village had lived. I t is about 2 miles NE from this cache. (Pt to Pt.)

Cache contents were Log book Pencils, Batteries, carabineer, Key chain. Large Dice. The cache is hid about 20 feet behind the rock structure.
