Wilburii: I’m taking some time out from geocaching and I don’t want to disappoint anyone with a poor quality cache.

In past years Etchilhampton Hill has been a favourite spot for crop circles. This cache is part way up the hill and offers a wide panoramic vista overlooking an enormous field which would make a perfect canvas for the creative talents of any passing alien. This cache is not suitable for pushchairs; but access is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The going gets tricky though because of the grass underfoot - long, tussocky, ankle-turning stuff.
This is actually the first cache placed on Etchilhampton Hill. I put it up here a while before the King of the Castle put in by the Gowenhouse team. The problem was that when I got home from putting the cache in place my GPSr had reset itself and lost all entries. Over the passing weeks I’ve tried to find the cache but didn’t manage it. A full 4 months later it came to light (I kicked it!) and so
it was once more available to find.
Since then a motocross (or similar) track has been put in here and the area's not quite as it was. After reports that it had gone missing I had a look and although I found it the container had been run over and crushed. So the cache has been moved and it's now just a micro and no longer loose in the grass.
The walking is not easy going but it’s excellent dog walking country although if your dog’s a chaser then it had better stay on its lead as you can see wildlife from hundreds of metres away. The deer still leap through the crops and fields.
Because I’m a meanie the co-ordinates above are not for the cache but probably somewhere in the field, I’m not quite sure as I made them up to keep them away from this and the Gowenhouse cache. You’ll need to decode the text below to find the cache.
