Geocache Description:

Come join the Conejo cachers for their fifth annual BBQ. Great food and great fun for the entire family. There will be food, prizes, raffles, giveaways, bouncies for the kids and most importantly, friends. All in a great park with lots of nearby caches. So come join us Sunday ( because everybody knows Saturdays are for soccer) the 23rd from noon until 4:00. Check back often as I will update this page frequently.
Update #1... Because we are eco-friendly, we ask that you bring your own silverware. We will have extras just in
case, but the less plasticware in our landfills, the better. Thanks!
Update #2 Jim of chaosmanor has been kind enough to handle the awards this year. He would like to give everyone time to think about what your favorite really is, so here is his email to me. Please direct ALL questions to Jim.......Ventura County is all of VC, plus a chunk of LA County between the county line and
Kanan Road. Carolyn wanted that to be the limit, and I think it works. A lot of
good caches in that chunk of LA County, most of them hidden by locals.

"New" is any cache hidden between Labor Day 2004 and Labor Day 2005; "Long-standing"
is anything before that. Any cache is OK, even if it no longer exists.

The categories that the time limits apply to are:

Best Traditional Cache, of any size
Best Puzzle or Hybrid Cache
Best Series or Multi-cache
Best Virtual Cache
Most Creative (in design elements) Cache
Best Use of Camoflague and/or Mis-direction
Most Scenic and/or Best Hike Cache
Funniest Cache Placement or Description
Best Cache hidden by a kid

The People's Choice is one award, for any cache hidden before Labor Day of this year.

There will also be one award each for the favorite cache by AC, Igbay and Blig.

Those who cannot attend can vote by sending us an e-mail at chaosmanor@myway.com,
which is also our profile e-mail. Electronic votes have to get to us by October
22nd.
Update #3. The main meal will be the BEST carne asada tacos you've ever had. We will handle that. We ask for liability purposes that all who attend, please bring your own drinks. If your Geo name starts with A-M, please bring your favorite side dish. If your Geo name starts with N-Z, please bring your favorite dessert. A small donation of $5.00 each would be greatly appreciated to help off set some of the cost. Thanks, and we hope to see you on the 23rd.
Update #4 It looks like we forgot something on the awards. Rookie of the year.
Update #5. The t-shirts are in. We have a limited number of t-shirts that will be available at the picnic for $10.00 each. These will be on a first come first serve basis. Please see Narlsharls at the picnic to get your shirt, or email him with any questions.

Update #6 10/23 As of 8:00AM this morning it is wet outside. The show will go on. There are 19 tables under cover. We can still have a good time, we may just have to be real cozy doing it.
