Denne cache ligger lige syd for Torup Klitplantage i Thy. Vi befinder os ca. 700 m fra Vesterhavet i et fredet område, der strækker sig fra Nørre Vorupør i syd til Klitmøller i nord, i alt ca. 10 km langt.
Fra cachen (32 m.o.h) er der frit udsyn til Båken ved Bøgsted Rende i nord og til Båken ved Stenbjerg i syd.
Cachen er placeret tæt ved den gamle Redningsvej. Langs det meste af Vestkysten har der eksisteret lignende redningsveje. Når der i gamle dage blev meldt om strandinger, skibe i nød m.m., blev der sendt redningsbåde af sted på hestevogn fra nærmeste redningsstation til det sted på kysten, hvor ulykken var sket eller ved at ske. Redningsvejene blev også brugt, når der skulle sendes beskeder mellem redningsstationerne om redningsaktioner.

This cache is hidden just south of Torup Klitplantage in Thy. We are about 700 m from the North Sea in a conservation area, which covers an area from Nørre Vorupør in south to Klitmøller in north, just about 10 km long.
From the cache (32 m.o.s) is a very good view to the “baake” by the Bøgsted Rende to the north and to the “baake” at Stenbjerg to the south.
The cache is hidden close to the old rescue road. Along most of the west coast of Jutland, you can still find these old rescue roads. They were used more than hundred years ago to move the lifeboats from the life saving stations to the scene of the disaster.
The re-established cache is placed in a plastic container with a blue lid.
