This cache was planted in memory of Cajun Queen's beautiful Golden Retriever Maggie.
Maggie loved hiking the Tully Trail & swimming in Tully Lake, at least once a week. She knew that trail as well as most humans. She never met someone she didn't like, and could charm everyone. She was afraid of her own shadow, loved to ride in the car, and knew when Cajun Queen put her hiking boots on that she was going for a fun time. She went to puppy heaven at 7 years of age, after 8 months of chemo. She is dearly missed by many people, not just her "mom".
Tully Lake is an awesome place to spend an afternoon. Take a picnic lunch and go for a hike, or a kayak ride. Rentals are available near the campground. It's about a 1.5 mile hike to the cache and back, or a .5 mile kayak. There are several other caches along the Tully Lake Trail to be found, also.
Park at N42 38.486 W 072 13.480.
Follow the yellow blazed trail behind the dam house. At about .3 miles away, when the trail takes a sharp right in the middle of a hemlock grove, take a left following the ridge line.
