The cache is located in a greenbelt near the old northern highway with a very hi-tech structure nearby.
The trail is part of the Ed Hillary KiwiWalks network.
KiwiWalks, The Hillary Commission, a sport and leisure government organization, in partnership with local authorities, the Department of Conservation (DOC) and regional sports trusts, has created the concept of KiwiWalks. KiwiWalks are a series of walks throughout New Zealand that are:
Easily accessible to a person wearing leisure footwear.
No more than one hour in duration.
Suitable for most ages and fitness levels.
Maintained and free.
The cache is in 500 Ml container with a camo lid.
