This is a nice geocache with a view of the river going through
Wichita. I used to ride the paved bike paths all through the city.
Sometimes the bike paths would have a small patch of sand burr
stickers and they would find my bike tires. One day I repaired
eight flat tires in two months; very shortly after that I purchased
those filled inserts for bike tires where you can stick a
screwdriver through your tire without having it go flat. I didn't
repair any flats after that. Close to this spot, down by the
water's edge I once saw a blue parakeet standing on a rock. It
didn't fly away when I stopped to look at it, so maybe it had
recently escaped from a bird cage.
