I enjoyed the M1 caches set by Stu-Sarah and Rev N Doc, they are a good idea for taking a break and stretching your legs. I felt there should be one further North. This cache is not far off Junction 31 towards a place called Aston. There is a gate into the fields. Park at N53,21.793 / W001,17.540 This is The Yellow Lion car park and is safe to park there. You can park further away but be careful near the busy road.
If you are coming off the Motorway take a left if coming from the South, and all the way right from the North, then take the immediate right turn in front of a large fire station, if you miss this there is a roundabout just further down the road.
Once you have parked walk out of the car park and you will notice a public footpath next to a cottage. Follow this path which runs aside a horse field, the horses are safely behind a fence but they are very friendly and im sure they would like the odd Polo or carrot you may be carrying. At the end of this path you will see a kissing gate, follow the directions the path marker is advising, right. This is a public footpath which runs beside a farmers field and can be very muddy so make sure you have brought your wellies/boots.
Stealth is required, people often take their dogs for walkies around here.
The cache is a round tube snap and lock white tupperware container with only a few goodies it is only big enough for small TBs and items. There is a log book, pen, pencil and sharpner please leave these here for the next person.
Please leave the cache better than you found it, You do not need to get down into the stream area you can bend down and just feel. Hole in a wall covered with an odd coloured stone, but be careful of the brambles. Any problems with the cache please let me know via email.
