The Prez Wuz Here 2 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Rattlingcrew: Hello, I am archiving some of the state's caches that have been down for an extended period. It is not the death of your cache, but it does remove the cache from the unfound circles of those cachers who live close enough to have your cache included in their circle. Should you decide to repair or replace the cache and want it reinstated, feel free to contact me and I will be more than happy to do that. Thanks for your participation. Glen

Geocache Description:

Ammo can in Hutchinson's downtown Pyle Park

President Warren Harding spoke at this park in 1923 on his trip west and to Alaska. Just imagine how this bandstand has been used in the past. It is used today for many events including concerts, ice cream socials and art fairs. Pyle Park (formerly Sylvan Park), Hutchinson's oldest downtown park, is on the banks of Cow Creek and is due a renovation in the near future. While you're here, take a good look at Cow Creek. Look upstream to the north. Where does it come from? Cow Creek takes some interesting turns in downtown Hutchinson. Under Memorial Hall is only one of the below-ground locations. If you're lucky, local firefighters will be using the facilities on the east side of the park for training exercises.

Enjoy downtown Hutchinson and the other caches near-by.
