Geocache Description:

8Km from the Waikato expressway. Turn off at Rangiriri Bridge.
Watch the Slippery Shale on the foreshore

Another cache in the psychrn lake theme from the North Waikato Area.
Lake Whangape is located north-west of Huntly and is the second largest lake in the lower Waikato catchment. It has a surface area of 1,450 hectares, an average depth of 1.5 metres and a maximum depth of 3.5 metres.
Lake Whangape drains to the Waikato River via the Whangape Stream. A rock rubble weir has been constructed on the outlet of the lake to protect the minimum water level.
The cache is a small 1Ltr clear Systema container
Can go Duck shooting here in season with the appropriate Licence.
