SQ Remembering Taylor Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Nocles: Ahh...what a good run this cache enjoyed! We are sorry to be archiving it, but it seems that the wind keeps blowing the cache out of its hidey-hole. Then the mowers do a final number on the container. Neither D.A.D.D. nor I live close enough to provide proper, routine maintenance and replacement of the cache. Thanks for all who hunted and found and to those who were not successful due to cache massacre at the hands of the rotating blades. Mrs. Nocles

Geocache Description:

SQ in the name signifies a Spirit Quest cache. Please respect this place by caching only from dawn to dusk.

D.A.D.D. and I were cruising back to our lake property when we noticed a place of interest. Taylor Cemetery is one of the smallest and oldest cemeteries we think we've ever seen. Most of the stones are illegible, but I think the ones I could read had everyone passing away before Lincoln was assassinated!

PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE ROAD AS THERE IS A CURVE THAT MAY BE "BLIND". There is a small, gated service drive, but it's big enough to get your car completely off the road.

We placed this camo matchstick container in a place that does not require you to walk too far. Winter may bring a challenge of traipsing through snow, but no bushwhacking in the woods that surround the cemetery is required. A house nearby may require some stealthiness. Please bring a pencil/pen as there is only a log inside the cache.
