Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
The area in and around Sandy Springs is composed of sand dunes. This rare geologic formation is known as a loess. Silt and sand were deposited in this area by the Ohio River, later to be shaped by wind action into small dunes. Rare and endangered plants such as prickly pear cactus, passion flower, little willow grass, spreading sandwort and silkgrass can be found in this cemetery as well as the nearby rest area.
Cache is a small rubbermaid container. Please be respectful of the graves. Please try not to remove any of the rare plants found in this area. Don't forget to bring a pen.
