Geocache Description:

Between Old Dutch rd. & Wangam Rd. No bushwacking, no poison ivy, no thorny stuff. moderate hills & well maintained trails.

The listed coordinates lead to a stone historical marker, PABOS. He was an early Basque explorer who came here looking for the Northwest Passage. The cache, for all you Geo explorers, is located in Fishers Park which has 3 Trailheads, E, N, & W. This park is also accessible from the Lehigh or Auburn bike trails. Best parking is at the East trailhead by the tennis courts where you’ll need to find the first marker.
To find the second marker use this formula from data on the plaque:
N 43° 00.A Where A=(# of feet away Pabos is buried) + 38
W 77° 28.B Where B=(the year of death) – 905

At the second marker you will need to use this formula to find the cache:
N 43° 00.C Where C=(Hawk Childs year of birth) - 1613
W 77° 28.D Where D=(year of death) –1395
While here enjoy the view, respect the tranquility, take pictures, look for a small metal dolphin, a metal sculpture (what is it?) & the large stone arrow beyond (What is it pointing at?).
The cache is a 30 cal. Ammo box with lots of shinny & practical trinkets an explorer might use to trade with the Indians. TB’s are welcome.
