Little village in "Považie" (the smallest in Trencín region). However, it has a rich history witnessed by a former church of roman architecture 13th century. It was very important place, because it had fortified walls, embrasures and towers. It was built in a strategic place. There are no castles in the area. According to legend a castle was built in this place.
Near the church, there is a "Haluzická roklina"- canyon. It is 1km long, 200m wide and 50m deep. It was eroded from a geological formation known as a klippen belt. Until 1870 there was a bridge over the canyon. However the canyon´s continuing expansion prevented the construction of any new bridge. This expansion process is continuing today.
