The bridge once connected the railway over the Maros river towards Temesvár/Timisoara. The cache side of the river belongs to Hungary, the other side is Romania. The mostly Hungarian-speaking village on the Romanian side can be reached from the border crossing at Kiszombor within ten minutes. A few hundred meters further there are remains of a road bridge too. The place is also a good fishing (and mosquito feeding) spot. Be prepared for a bit of climbing and bushes.
The cache was hidden with the approval of the Körös-Maros National Park.
Additional info: The steel construction of the old bridges is still in use, one part over the Sajó river at Sajóecseg and two parts over the Zagyva river at Szolnok and Zagyvarékas. (Read more about the history of the bridges in Csongrád county.)
